Our History

City Bike Park is in Richmond, Indiana’s Freeman Park, a property owned and operated by Richmond Parks & Recreation. Formerly known as Rose City BMX Track, the park opened in 1979. For details go to Our Story.

Our Volunteers

The property, the City Bike Park social media pages, and this website are maintained by a small but dedicated group of volunteers. Our Purpose – Enjoy the Outdoors!

City Bike Park provides families and biking enthusiasts access to a fun, yet challenging bike park. Multiple features accommodate all skill levels, and there are areas developed to offer training and practice opportunities.

The Track

  • 2 lanes:
    • Beginner/Intermediate (right lane) – Use this lane if you’re new to the sport (kids & adults included), are looking to improve your speed, or want to work on your manuals
    • Expert (left lane) – Use this lane if you’re a skilled rider looking to catch some air!
  • Roughly 1,180′ in length
  • The starting pad is 25′ x 100′ and made of tarmac and concrete
  • Sixteen dirt features
  • 3 large berms: 4′ – 5′ in height and 40′ – 50′ in diameter
